Next Meeting: I have not got the September issue of the
newsletter so I
cannot report the actual times and dates yet. I hope
everyone had a nice
time at OSHKOSH this year!!!! Boy, was it ever a hot one
during the
show week. I hope lots of kit purchases came out of
everyones show
purview. Sorry the webmaster has not been to very many
meetings. The
cost of fuel and limited time made showing up at the meetings
harder this
season. I am still want to be a member of eaa1161.org
though. ;-)
Congrats to all those members who got their project planes in
the air!!!!
This has been one of the rainiest summers we have had in a
while. Please
keep yourselves dry all. I will be showing up again
soon. Love to see all
the improvements to the airport at our meeting place.

We members needed to lend your air racing support to Jay Jones each
year. New EAA1422 out of the Westcliffe, CO
Airport (C08) is up. All EAA 1161 members are

EAA1422's temporary website is up. Silverwest airport has
its own website C08
A few needed improvements are in the works to compliment
the ones already in place. The runway 13 31 has
already been widened to accommodate larger aircraft. New
runway solar powered lighting has already been installed.
In the future, there is planned a terminal building for
flight planning among others. Check back often for new
updates. |
